And the winner is …

Future Mobility Award – JU-KNOW as a cooperation partner and Ursula Kloé was a member of the jury.

Congrats to BeeSonix for winning the award and the prize money of 5,000 Euro, a professional coaching, a -one-year-subscription of the ‘Nahverkehrsparxis’ magazine, and participation in an investor-start-up-meeting.

BeeSonix’s innovation is the ultrasonic communication between the loudspeakers of the announcement systems of the public transport suppliers and the smartphones of the travelers. https://www.beesonix.de/

The Future Mobility Award is to honour sustainable mobility solutions for the public transport sector and was to take place during the IT-TRANS at the trade fair in Karlsruhe. The bi-yearly fair had to be postponed due to the Corona crisis. The persons in authority (Nachverkehrspraxis Fachverlag Dr. H. Arnold GmbH; Messe Karlsruhe; aen – automotive. engineering. network e.V.; Wirtschaftsförderung Karlsruhe and their partners JU-KNOW, First Momentum, VBK, IT Trans and UITP) decided to award the winner during a video conference on 19 May 2020.

The 10-expert-jury assessed all ideas submitted at their realisation, the added value for public transport und the users, and the scalability of the suggestions in the previous weeks.

The finalists of the first Future Mobility Award were BeeSonix (winner), Matchrider, Rydies, Speribus / EchtzeitFahrplan, and Twaice.

We are looking for innovative ideas bringing forward both the transformation of mobility and energy, in urban as well as in rural areas. And we are looking for new ideas in logistics, in ‘first mile’ and ‘last mile’ solutions.

  • Alternative engines (electric, hydrogen, E-Fuels, …)
  • Services, apps We are accepting innovations from these areas when they are linked to New Mobility
  • Innovations for the energy sector when they are linked to New Mobility
  • Innovations for Smart Cities when they are linked to New Mobility or enable MaaS

Award Ceremony with Minister of Transport Winfried Hermann MdL, at the e4 TESTIVAL at the Hockenheim Grand Prix Course / Germany in March 2021. All Award Finalists 2020 are invited to exhibit and present their ideas on stage at the e4 TESTIVAL 2021 free of charge.

Within the scope of an idea contest the state of Baden-Württemberg facilitates seven innovative mobility concepts for rural areas with a total of 1.7 million Euro.

The aim of the competition is to promote the participation of all in the society and solidarity.

The ‘Transforming Mobility’ Start-up Award enjoys again the patronage of the Minister for Transport of Baden-Württemberg, Winfried Hermann MdL. Start-ups, initiatives, academic groups and college / uni graduates will have the opportunity to present their innovations within the e4 TESTIVAL – in 2020 as online event. We are looking for innovative ideas both for urban and rural areas, for the ‘first mile‘ and the ‘last mile‘.
